Linear Health Sciences today announced that the company bringing tension disconnects to medical tubing will participate in Innovation Showcase, an exhibit of early-stage medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies at AdvaMed 2016: The MedTech Conference.
Linear Health Sciences is one of 48 Innovation Showcase companies selected from a large global pool of applicants. The selected participants will be featured in showcase sessions on a special stage in the exhibit hall at AdvaMed 2016 on Tuesday October 18 and Wednesday October 19.
Each Innovation Showcase will profile four companies at a time at AdvaMed 2016: The MedTech Conference, with video introductions previewing the company’s technology and investment opportunities.
All 48 places in the Innovation Showcase are offered under scholarships supported by the following organizations (number of scholarships): MedTech Innovator (20), the National Institutes of Health (12), iBIO/PROPEL (3), the Maryland Department of Commerce (2), Oslo MedTech (2), AdvaMed Pediatric Working Group (supported by St Jude Medical) (1), AZ BIO (1),BioMelbourne (1), Export Québec (1), IDA Ireland (1), MEDEC (1), SEMDA (1), The Pharma Partners(1) and WINGS The Medical Technology Angels (1).
Linear Health Sciences’ ORCHID Valve was developed to address accidental IV dislodgment and ancillary potential issues that surround tension based dislodgment events. While the ORCHID Valve focuses on IV’s the technology is translatable to several medical tubing applications.
